Jeannie Glenn Life and Times

Mrs. Jeannie Stovall Glenn, age 110, of Garner, North Carolina; formerly a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022.

Jeannie Stovall Glenn was born in Haleburg, Alabama on October 17, 1911, to Annie Dawson Stovall and Eddie Stovall.

Jeannie was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, under Reverend Wendell J. Mapson, for over 40 years.  Jeannie's first love was God and the church.  She adored singing and proudly served as President of Mt. Calvary's Inspirational Choir for over 30 years.

Jeannie was a devoted homemaker, raising three children: Fernando, Eddie Roy, and Marlene Glenn.  She was married to the love of her life, Benjamin Glenn, for 60 years.

Jeannie lived in many places over the years: Alabama, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, and finally North Carolina; being well loved by family and friends throughout those many places.  No one could beat Jeannie's love for God!  Her favorite saying that she lived by and always shared with others was, "BUT GOD".  This simple but powerful statement sustained her and others over her many years journey through her life.

Jeannie Stovall Glenn, 110 years old, peacefully passed away on June 26, 2022, at 2:26 PM, at the Laurels of Forest Glenn, in Garner, North Carolina.

She is survived by and leaves to lovingly remember her, siblings: Eddie Lee (Jessie) Stringer, Clara Stephen, Archester (Myrtis) Stovall, Frances McGowin, and Cornelia Davis; grandsons: Eric (Adele) Glenn and Omar Glenn; great grands: Shylon Glenn, Zarya Glenn, Marcus Bonds, Omar Glenn, Jr., Armon Glenn , and Aiesha Grayer; special nieces: Elmira Lloyd and Willie Jean Stringer; daughters-in-law: Catherine Johnson Glenn and Diane Harris; and a host of nieces and nephews too numerous to name.
