James Wigfall III, affectionally known as Sam, was born on February 16, 1973, to James Wigfall, Jr. and the late Annie Jane Derrico Wigfall in Tuskegee,Alabama.
He was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Sam loved his family.
On October 22, 2023, Sam answered the call of our Lord and Savior at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan Alabama surrounded by his family.
Sam was preceded in death by his mother: Annie Jane; sisters: Cassandra Wigfall and Adrian Nicholas; brother: Bernard Oliver.
Sam was educated in the Montgomery County Public School System, a proud graduate of Montgomery County High, class of 1993.
Sam joined the United States Marine Corps after graduation.
His memories will be cherished for a lifetime by his father, James Wigfall Jr; loving and faithful bonus parents Jerome and Denise Wigfall; devoted and special aunt Christine Oliver; daughters whom he loved with all of his heart and soul Deshondra (Derek) Scott and Myneshia (Benjamin) Griffin; grandchildren Derek Scott, Jr. and Paisley Griffin; sisters Nicole Oliver and Wendy Oliver-Herndon; brothers Julius Wigfall, Christopher Barnes, Demario Oliver, Jr Fuller and Maurice Givens; uncles Robert Wigfall and Tommy(Rolonda) Wigfall; aunts Jerline Mcfolley, Louise(Henry Oscar)Swanson, Minnie (Freddie) Palmer, and Mary Derrico; his beloved bothers, his hearts: Roderick Wigfall, Dorian Wigfall, Jarome Wigfall, and Alvin Wigfall; and his girls: Tammy Wigfall, Syretta Rhodes, Synetta Wigfall and Ernestine Wigfall (his Big Red); special nephew Christian Wigfall; special cousins Leon, Arthur, David, Dorothy and John Curry, Glenda and Oscar A. Swanson; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family whom lives he had a tremendous impact.
