James Allen Culver

Mr. James Allen Culver of Midland City, Alabama departed this earthly life on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the age of 67. 

James Allen “Pig” Culver was born in Abbeville, Alabama on July 19 1955 to the late Alto and Annie Laura Culver.

He joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and remained until his death on March 14, 2023.

James attended Henry County Training School and started working at an early age to care for his family. He worked with Turner Drilling for thirty plus years, where he enjoyed Bauxite Mining. He also worked at Champion Lumber for five years operating heavy machinery.

On June 16, 2012 he was united in holy matrimony to Kay Frances.

James was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Walter Cooper; one daughter: Taniki Parks; two sisters: Lisa Culver and Shelly Culver; five brothers: Marcus Culver, Joe Culver, Timothy Culver, Jerry Culver and Derrick Culver.

He leaves to cherish his loving wife: Kay Frances Culver of 38 years; five sons; Allen Cooper and Lidge Cooper of Abbeville, Alabama, Alvin (Glenn) Thomas and James (Stephanie) Culver both of Dothan, Alabama and Robert (Shermaine) Cooper of Newville, Alabama;. three daughters: Sara (Casey) Cooper of Eufaula, Alabama, Mary Cooper and Mae Cooper both of Abbeville, Alabama; one sister: Francis Pearl Carter of Dothan, Alabama; Three Brothers: Phillip (Shelia) Culver, Kevin (Sharon) and Demetrius Culver all of Abbeville, Alabama; 20 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three special nieces: Crystal Richards, Megan Culver and Mia Culver; two special cousins: Betty Brown and John Lester Bulger; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
