Mr. Isiah Savage, Jr., age 90, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Friday, August 6, 2021.
Drive through visitation will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 1 PM at Parks Chapel AME Church, in Dothan, Alabama.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Crestlawn Cemetery in Cowarts, Alabama.
Isiah Savage, Jr. was born June 20, 1931 to Isiah Savage, Sr. and Lela Powe.
Isiah graduated from high school in 1949 and enlisted in the United States Army three years later. During his time in the military, Isiah fought in the Korean Conflict Era, Peacetime, and Vietnam Era before retiring on May 31, 1975. After retiring from the military, Isiah worked as a Warden at Dothan Police Department for 16 years before retiring from there on July 25, 1991.
Isiah accepted Christ at a young age and later became a member of Parks Chapel AME Church in Dothan. Not only was he a faithful member, but he also was the Treasurer, Stewart, Cook, and held many other positions as well.
Isiah was preceded in death by his loving wife of 24 years: Annie Pearl Savage; and sister: Pearlie Mae Chapman.
He leaves behind his children: Barbara Lute, Patricia Andrew, Emmitt King, Milton (Lori) Savage, Evelyn (Archie) Brown, Elmer (Jenni) Savage, and Tommy (Cheryl) Savage; stepdaughters: Barbara (Bill) Ward and Phyllis (Cameron) Glenn; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
