Inez (McGloun) Jackson

Mrs. Inez McGloun Jackson  a cherished soul and respected member of her community, transition from this earthly world to go be with her Father in Heaven this 13 day of September 2024.

Born August 26, 1930 in Newville, Alabama to the proud parents, John Henry and Cora Lee McGloun.

Inez Jackson was married to Bernard Jackson , where they had three children, Johnny Jackson of Miami, Florida, Jerry Jackson, Sr. (Maria) of Long Beach, Mississippi and Brenda Wright of Dothan, Alabama. Inez is the last of twelve children.

She gave her life to Jesus at an early age, becoming a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, later after marriage, she became a member of Cherry Street African Methodist Episcopal Church. After the passing of her husband, she went back to  her beloved Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church.

She worked and retired from Southeast Health. After retirement, she enjoyed family gathering, traveling and working in her garden.

Her memories will continue to live through her grandchildren: Felecia (Tarence) Holtzclaw, Jerry Jackson, Jr. (Shaune), Bernard Jerome Jackson, Johnny Jr., Jennifer Marcelin (Angelo), Chance Jackson, Boyd Jackson, Cashawn Wright (LaTanya); nineteen great grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a special friend, Geneva Cull.
