Ila Jean Chambers

Mrs. Ila Chambers, age 81, of Ozark, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Drive through visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 2PM to 4 PM at the funeral home. 

Graveside service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 11 AM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Ila Jean Chambers was born September 23, 1939 to the Union of Willis Son Bell and Clara Louvonia Bell in Ashford, Alabama.

Ila accepted Christ at an early age, and was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Ozark, Alabama until she gained her Heavenly Wings on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister: Dollie Mae Dawsey; brothers: Wallace, Herman, James and Carl Bell; grandson: Keith Snell, Jr.; and great grandson: Mikel Walker.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five daughters: Jacquelyn (Charlie) Lester, Jr., Cassandra (Jerry) Lawrence both of Dothan, Alabama, Kimberly Chambers, Trenesha Chambers and Earnestine Chambers of Ozark, Alabama; ten grandchildren: Patrick (Nakia) Chambers, Ashleigh Lester, Asaad Lester, Kristie Chambers, Brandon Chambers, Shamiya Haspiel, Chelmek Wright, LaKimbra Wright, Jaysen Chambers, Joshua Chambers and 12 great grandchildren; one sister: Dovie Lou Chambers; three brothers: Gene Bell, Bishop Charles Bell, and William (Gloria) Bell; one aunt: Annie McCarty; one special pet: Connie Chambers (her bird) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
