Herbert Jerome Brady, Sr.

Mr. Herbert Jerome Brady, Sr., age 63, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Drive though viewing will be Wednesday, May 12, 2021 4-6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 1:00 PM at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, Alabama.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Soul Chapel Cemetery in Browns Crossroads Henry County, Alabama.

Herbert Jerome Brady, Sr. was born the seventh child, of J.L. and Jerusha Glover Brady, on November 12, 1957 in Dothan, Alabama.  "Herb", affectionately known by many, accepted Christ Jesus as Lord of his life at an early age.  

Herb attended Montana Street Elementary School, in Dothan, Alabama and Newville Middle School in Newville, Alabama.  Herb left Alabama after junior high school for Denver, Colorado, where he attended Aroura High School.  Herb met and soon married the mother of his three children, as he pursued a career in the Medical Profession, after moving to Long Beach, California.  Herb always had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger.  Herb enjoyed exercising His faith in God by participating in Church activities and services.

The Lord called Herb home on May 1, 2021.

Herb was preceded in death by his father: J.L. Brady; and brothers: Donald O'Neal Brady and Reginald Allen Brady.

He leaves, to cherish his memories, children: Herbert Jerome (Consuela) Brady, Jr., Reginald James (Ana) Brady, and Kristin Michelle Brady; his mother: Jerusha Glover Brady; grandchildren: Leila Christine Brady and Reginald James Brady, Jr.; Herb's forever soulmate and children's mother: Sylvia M. Brady Richardson.  He, also, leaves behind his siblings: Charles Warren Brady, Evelyn Brady Collins, Maxzine Brady Green, James Lewis (Debra) Brady, Willie Winfred (Frances) Brady, Kimberly (Eugene) Brady Madry and Shanetha (Donald) Young; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
