On August 15, 1945, a caterpillar was brought to Earth, from the Lord, to the late O'Ella Peterson Burks and the late J.B. Teague. She flourished through the upbringing of her grandmother, the late Mrs. Flossie Baker Peterson Screws.
The blessing from the Lord, she blossomed into a beautiful butterfly for the Lord. God blessed her with training from Carver High School, in the class of 1963. She furthered her education at Wononah Trade School, in Birmingham, Alabama. With her gift, she was able to come back home and work at her Alma Mater. From there, she shared her knowledge at Grandview Elementary, Montana Elementary, Lake Street Jr. High and Dothan High School. In 1983, she went on a new adventure, as she called it her JOY JOB, as a Gospel Announcer. She was discovered by Jean Ingram, at WXLE, in Abbeville, Alabama. That's when she was given the name "Lady Gospel".
In 1985, she joined the staff of WOOF AM 560. During her time at WOOF, she was blessed to Emcee, speak, and help in many fundraiser programs, for many organizations. There are so many accomplishments God blessed her with. The one she always stated as her best achievement was when she accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 8 years old.
