Hal Reynolds, Sr., a beacon of love and selflessness, completed his earthly journey on December 8, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of faith and joy. Born on April 8, 1956, in the close-knit community of Newville, Alabama, Hal was the cherished son of the late Lloyd Reynolds, Jr. and Mary Alice Reynolds. His early years were rooted in faith as he joined the First Missionary Baptist Church, where he cultivated a spirit of compassion and service that would define his life.

Hal's passage through life was marked by an unwavering dedication to his family, a commitment that shone brightly until his peaceful passing in Dothan, Alabama. His children: Petrena Anthony, Pastor Hal (Laneshia) Reynolds, Jr. and Camilia Reynolds, will continue to walk in the path of integrity he laid out for them. His grandchildren: Robert Snell, K’Shun Strokes, Brendyn Reynolds, Jacquone Reynolds, A’Iyanna Reynolds, Javian Thomas, Mercy Stokes, Mason Stokes, Haleigh Reynolds, and Paislee Welch his great-grandchildren: Bentlei Reynolds, Mariyah Reynolds, and Madison Reynolds, the apples of his eye, will remember their 'The Dad' as a fountain of laughter and life lessons. Hal's siblings: Rose (Bessie) Corbitt, James (June) Williams of Tampa, Florida, Oscar (Bernestine) Reynolds, Kenneth (Sharon) Reynolds, Jean Grider, Commissioner Honorable Gregory (Evelyn) Reynolds, Patricia Reynolds, Brenda Mack, Ellen (Kevin) Pace, Tyrone (Christina) Reynolds, First Sergeant Jeffery (Raquel) Reynolds, Retired of Harker Heights, Texas, Diane Dean of Atlanta, Georgia, and Beverly Reynolds; aunts: Ann May and Katrine Patterson; special friend: Russell (Cynthia) Davis; along with a host of nieces, nephews and his extended family, a tapestry of individuals who shared in his journey, will carry forward his spirit of generosity and kinship.

As we celebrate Hal's life, we are reminded of the impact one person can have on the world. His legacy is not merely in the roles he fulfilled as a father, grandfather, brother, and friend, but in the countless lives he touched with his kindness and his unwavering belief in the goodness of people.

Hal Reynolds, Sr. lived by this principle, and his success is immeasurable. His memory will forever be a guiding light for those who had the honor of sharing in his journey.
