Gladys Mae Brown

Mrs. Gladys Brown, age 78, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

Drive through visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 11 AM at Greater Shiloh Church Cemetery in Headland, Alabama.

Gladys Reynolds-Brown was born on January 20, 1943 to the late L.B. Jack Reynolds and Jewel Reynolds. She was born and raised in Henry County.
 

Gladys confessed Christ at an early age and was a life time member of the Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama. Gladys attended Headland Northside High School. She immediately entered the workforce which culminated many years later with retirement at Sony Incorporation here in Dothan, Alabama.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Gladys, such as dancing and listening to music and of course, driving her dog (Diamond) around town. She had the ability to find happiness in everything she did. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Sylvester R. Brown Jr.; a sister: Ruby J. Reynolds; and a brother: Robert L. Reynolds.

With her family at her side, our beloved “Toot” was called home from labor to reward early afternoon on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
 

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories a daughter; Debra (Edward Jr.) Brown; two sons; Stanley Jones and Stevie (Patricia) Jones of Dothan, Alabama; two step-daughters; Tiffany Brown and Jessica Brown of Louisville, Kentucky and a very special, lifelong friend Ms. Linda White of Dothan; fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other living relatives and friends.
