George Clifton Cooks

Mr. George Cooks, age 69, of Union Springs, Alabama passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 1 PM to 3 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 313 Prairie Street, Union Springs, Alabama 36089.

Graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at 12:30 PM at Mason Cemetery, 541 Mason Drive, Union Springs, Alabama 36089.

Mr. George Clifton Cooks was born in Bullock County, Alabama on April 12, 1951.  He confessed Christ as his savior and joined St. Luke Baptist Church.  

George was previously married to Linda Mack.  In earlier years, George did construction work and drove trucks in and around Texas.  He loved cooking, being with his grandkids and planting his vegetable garden.

George was preceded in death by his parents: the late Fate Cooks and Mrs. Bennie Z. Cooks; two sisters: Annie F. Cooks and Mary A. Cooks; and two brothers: Thomas A. Cooks and Hubert E. Cooks.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: Sherry, Jacqueline, Cassandra, George, Jr., Latisha, K'Andria, KeDeidra, Kortez, George and Sanquietta; three sisters: Linda (Ron, Sr.), Patricia (Ali) and Sherry (Everett); two brothers: W.C. and Michael (Jackie); 19 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
