Gennie B (Clayton) Thomas

Mrs. Gennie B. Thomas was born to the late William and Rosie Burks Clayton on November 24, 1928.

She join the Spring Hill Baptist Church Clayton, Alabama at an early age where she served faithfully until her illness.

She was married to the late Exie Thomas on January 30, 1956. To this union there were five children.

She departed this life on November 3, 2018 at the Ozark Health & Rehabilitation Center in Ozark, Alabama. 

She leaves to mourn her passing, five children: Exie R. (Lisa) Thomas of Donaldsonville, Georgia,  Jerry Thomas and Shirley A. Thomas of Ozark, Alabama, Diane (Jimmy) of Daleville, Alabama and Norman J. Thomas of Ozark, Alabama (Deceased); one step son: Rico Leon Williams Dothan, Alabama; one sister: Mozell Clayton of Newton, Alabama; ten sisters: Emma Blythers, Katie Washington, Margie Holloway, Millie Glenn, Ruby Lewis, Eula Akins, Willie B. Warren, Qula Helms, Marie C. Thomas, and Merie Clayton; one brother: Robert Clayton, each who preceded her in death; also leaves three sister-in-law: Loring Thomas, Lillie J. Thomas and Katie Ray of Long Island, New York; seventeen grandchildren’s, twenty-eight great grandchildren’s and a host of cousin, nieces, nephews, and friends.
