Freddie Easley Life and Times

Mr. Freddie Easley, age 66, of Kinsey, Alabama passed away Monday, December 28, 2020.

Memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 1 PM Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Freddie Lee Easley was born on October 13, 1954 to the late Charles C. Taylor and Annie Laura Easley-Taylor in Dothan, Alabama.

Freddie accepted Christ, at a very early age, and was a member of the New Baptist Church and attended the Northview Christian Church in Dothan, Alabama.  Freddie attended the Dothan City Schools and later joined the Job Corp, where he obtained a degree in Culinary, where he loved to cook.  He spent his early childhood living in Mississippi.  He also loved to sing and was a member of the City-Wide Male Chorus.  He was employed at the Volvo North America Company for many years.

In January of 1981, Freddie was united in Holy Matrimony to his rib, Della Dean Thomas.  To this union, two sons were born.  They enjoyed blissful years as a family, where they resided most of their lives in Dothan and Kinsey, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Phillip Wayne and Minister Bobby Taylor; grandparents: Clem (Flossie) Taylor, Jeannie Mae Easley and Leon Easley; one niece: Te'Meka Roberts; father and mother-in-law: Cleveland Thomas, Sr. and Ruby Louis Conley Thomas.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, two sons: Alexander Thomas and Cornelius Thomas both of Dothan, Alabama; two granddaughters: Cornisha Thomas and Tytianna Boykins both of Dothan, Alabama; three brothers: Charles Taylor, Jr. of Dothan, Alabama, Larry (Muriel) Taylor of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Cecil Taylor of Dothan, Alabama; one sister: Laydesh (Eric) Harris of Madison, Tennessee; aunts: Mamie Easley, Gerene Brisbon, Nita Brooks all of Dothan, Alabama, Vesta Lee Taylor of Roosevelt, New York, Dorothy Muhamad of Dothan, Alabama and Mattie (Gerald) Whittaker of Hamden, Connecticut; one uncle: James (Rose) Taylor of Dothan, Alabama; nieces: Ashley Taylor of Hermitage, Tennessee, Veronica (Jody) Culver of Montgomery, Alabama and La'Kishie Harris of Antioch, Tennessee; one nephew: Spencer Taylor of Dallas, Texas and a host of other relatives and friends.
