Mrs. Frankie Lou Rivers was born November 30, 1919 to the late Frank and Mamie McDaniel of Henry County, Alabama. On October 21, 1944 she married the love of her life Eddie Rivers, Sr. and to this union nine children were born.
Frankie accepted the Lord as her personal savior at an early age at the Adams Street Baptist Church. She later joined the Fellowship of True Holiness Church in Dothan, Alabama where she served faithfully until her health declined.
Frankie was preceded in death by her parents, late husband: Eddie Rivers, Sr.; her sons: Paul and Earl Rivers; sisters: Thelma Bell, Donnie Ward, Mary Murlean Morgan, Gussie Johnson and LeVilla Thomas; brothers: John McDaniel, Ulyesses McDaniel, Eddie McDaniel, Thomas and Frazier McHellen; three grandsons: Wallace Rivers, Jr., Larry Barkley, Sr. and Eddie Charles Rivers, III and one great grandson: Daquan Rivers.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories three daughters: Bobbie Barkley, Dorothy (Billy) Blackmon and Tina (Bonnie) Young all of Dothan, Alabama; four sons: Wallace Rivers, Eddie (Blondell) Rivers, Jr. of Dothan, Alabama, Charles Rivers of Ariton, Alabama and Steve (Jennifer) Rivers off Dothan, Alabama; forty grandchildren's; seventy-six great grandchildren and twenty great-great grandchildren; special thanks to her daughter: Tina (Frank) Young for thirty years of unwavering care, love and dedication shown. Her grandsons: Michael Rivers and Benjamin Young; two great grandsons:Christopher Callins and Koby Barkley; granddaughter:-in-law: Jessica Young for their commitment shown to our mother and grandmother; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
