Fernando Davis Life and Times

Mr. Fernando Davis, age 64, of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 12 PM at Georgette L. Scott's Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

 

Today we gather to celebrate the life of Fernando Davis, son of the late Robert Knight and Martha Sue Kirkland. Fernando was born May 25, 1955, in Henry County, Alabama. 

Fernando was a member of Saint Peter in Abbeville, Alabama. Nan, as so many called him, was a loving and caring person. Once you met him, you were a friend for life. He loved to fish and loved sport. Never met a stranger and always had a smile. 

Fernando was employed at Sony over twenty-four years. He was working at Westgate Park for the past three years.

Fernando was united in the Holy Matrimony to Joyce Iverson Davis; where they shared twenty-four years of happiness , fourteen years of marriage. She was the love of his life, his “little girl” was his nickname for her.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents: Mary Melissa Davis (Madea) and (Clunk) Connecticut Davis.

On Friday, January 10, 2020 he entered in eternal rest at Southeast Health.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife for twenty-fours years: Joyce Davis; two daughters: Kimberly Denise Davis and Alexis Fernana Davis (Jalen); two sons: Kelly Lamont Flowers and Tamikal Rasean Morris (Ahriale); ten grandbabies: Leviticus Davis, King Harris, Roman Davis, Jaela Flowers, Londyn Morris, Jahlil Dawsey, Khloe Morris, Mia-Grace Flowers Noah Flowers and Indya Burroughs; two sisters: Linda Davis and Phyllis Kirkland; two brothers: Kenneth Kirkland and James Lamar Grimsley (Jewel); aunts: Mitte Dean Holloman (AL), Lilly Prayer, Florence Hong, and Clara Davis all of Los Angeles and Alice Pete of Fort Gaines, GA; and special friends: Bob Hall, J.P. Tyson, Steve Driver, James Brook, his fur babies that he loved Taz and Coco; and a host or other relatives and friends.
