Mrs. Fannie Streeter, age 65, of Union Springs, Alabama passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.
Visitation will be Friday, February 26, 2021 from 3 PM to 5 PM at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 107 Brown Street Union Springs, Alabama 36089.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1 PM at Mason Cemetery, 541 Mason Drive Union Springs, Alabama 36089.
Mrs. Fannie Mae Streeter entered this world June 22, 1955, in Midway, Alabama (Pleasant Hill Community), to the late Clarence Streeter and Annie Smith. She confessed Christ at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Union Springs, Alabama.
Fannie attended school at Merritt Elementary in Midway, Alabama and Carver High School in Union Springs, Alabama. She worked at The Welsh Company, Bonnie Plant Farm, National Industries, and Wayne Farms.
A devoted Christian, Fannie was a true servant for Christ. She attended Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Union Springs, Alabama, where she served as the president of the senior choir.
Fannie was an extraordinary woman with many talents. She loved cooking for her family and friends, singing for the Lord in the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church's Senior Choir, and dancing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a passion for collecting photos of her family members and friends. She really loved attending church and fellowshipping with her church members. She was known for her exceptional culinary skills, but most people knew her for her self-less deeds and positive energy. She had such a presence that it was difficult to not notice her. Even when she did not feel her greatest, she was constantly concerned for others.
On the morning of February 19, 2021, Fannie's earthly life came to life an end at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; mother-in-law: Mrs. Maggie Streeter; one sister: Velma (Odis) Streeter; and three brothers: Robert Smith I, Robert Smith II, and Robert Smith III.
She will be cherished and remembered by her spouse: James Henry Streeter and to this union, four children were born: James (Kimberly Miles) Smith of Midway, Alabama, Jennifer (Khristopher) McLendon of Union Springs, Alabama, Madison Streeter of Montgomery, Alabama and Dominique (Michael Blake) Street of Montgomery, Alabama. She will be remembered by her grandchildren: Jaquez Walker, Ra'keem (Shavel) Streeter, Raquel Finney, Jakobe Smithe, Jaela Smith, Jordin Smith, Noah Smith and Layla Smith. She leaves behind her great grandchildren: Armani Streeter, Amari Streeter, Taeli Slater, Ra'keem Streeter III and Ry'lee Streeter. She has six sisters to keep her memory alive: Mattie Scott, Joyce Smith, Mary (Willie) Scott, Thelma Smith, Annie (Robert) Borum anmd Dessa Beachem; one sister in Christ: Shirley Streeter. She has one brother, Sonny Smith. She has one brother-in-law: Hosia (Shirley) Streeter and one sister-in-law: Brenda (Fred) Cope. She has two close friends: Kathie Lee and Roseanna Walker. She will be missed dearly by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
