Elaine Dozier Turner

Mrs. Elaine Dozier Turner of Abbeville, Alabama departed this earthly life on Monday, November 14, 2022 at the age of 80.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Abbeville Memorial Garden Cemetery, Highway 10 East, Abbeville, Alabama 36310 under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care."

Elaine Dozier Turner was born to the late Archie Dozier and Rosa Bell Carter Dozier on September 17, 1942 in Abbeville, Alabama.

Elaine attended the Henry County School system and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She loved attending Church services and playing with kids. She would give her last to anyone, including strangers. That was how big her heart was. She was nothing to be messed with and loved her Gospel music.

She was united in Holy matrimony to the late Thelex Coleman and later to the late James Robert Turner.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; seven sisters: Annie Rose McCloud (Pompano Beach, Florida), Elizabeth Bulger (Fremont, Ohio), Rosa Bell Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Fannie Mae (Abbeville, Alabama), Orcha Bel1 Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Mary Nell White (Abbeville, Alabama), Lonnie Mae Brooks (Abbeville, Alabama); six brothers: James Ottis Dozier, Sr. (Haines City, Florida), Leroy Dozier (Georgia), Ivory Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Jessie Lee Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Shell White (Abbeville, Alabama), Johnny C. White (Abbeville, Alabama); son: Randy Coleman (Dothan, Alabama), stepson: Johnny Turner (Abbeville, Alabama) and stepdaughter: Shelia Coleman Leggett.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters: Roberda Coleman Derico (Abbeville, Alabama), Mary Elaine Coleman (Darrell) Wilson (Dothan Alabama), Kathy Andrews (Jacksonville, Florida); stepdaughter: Barbara Coleman (Newville, Alabama); two sons: Rogerio Bernard ( Carolyn) Coleman (Dothan, Alabama) and James (Karen) Coleman (Dothan, Alabama); stepson: Willie James Turner (Abbeville, Alabama); sister-in-law: Annie Lou Dozier (Tampa, Florida), nephews: Jessie Reynolds (Abbeville, Alabama) and Earl Reynolds; niece: Annie Dean Craddock; cousins: Ricky (Arica) Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Ike Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama), Otis Dozier (Abbeville, Alabama); a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins other relatives and friends.
