Amn. Eddie Robinson Jr. was born June 8, 1973 in Montgomery, Al., to the late Valerie O. Robinson and Eddie Robinson Sr.
After the deaths of his parents, Eddie was raised by the late Mrs. Ethel Johnson (Madea), who preceded him in death. He was the oldest of five siblings: Opal Robinson-Moore, Ebonye Robinson, Tommy Lawery Jr., and Jason Bull. Eddie was a “proud” graduate of Northview High School-Class of ‘91. He carried the spirit of his Alma Mater throughout his life. He was the life of the class with his humorous persona. He joined the military after a brief stint at Alabama State University. Eddie joined the Airforce in 1994 and was honorably discharged in 1995. His professional life included many positive aspects but he was always an excellent retail manager; that excelled in customer service.
Eddie loved and enjoyed his jobs. Eddie enjoyed joking around and building rapport with any of his customers; whether it was selling shoes or selling cellphones-he was your “go-to” guy. On July 5, 2003, Eddie was joined in marriage to Jan Davis and to this union, they had three children; Latavius “Jarell” Davis, Payton D. Davis, and Katilyn G. Robinson. Before becoming ill, Eddie enjoyed playing basketball, playing his game, watching movies, being the manager at several shoe stores and managing cell phone establishments. HIs humorous and loving spirit was known to all that encountered him. Eddie’s untimely departure leaves behind a legacy as a beloved husband, father, sibling, uncle, cousin, friend, and a valued member of the Dothan (J-Town) community. His absence creates avoid that is deeply felt, yet the imprint he leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid. HIs humorous spirit will continue to uplift and comfort those he touched.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted and caring wife, Jan L. Robinson; two sons: Latavius “Jarell” Davis and Jordan R. Robinson; two daughters: Payton D. Davis and Katilyn G. Robinson. Siblings: two sisters, Opal Robinson-Moore and Ebonye Robinson; two brothers: Jason Bull and Tommy Lawery Jr. Eddie also leaves behind a host of special aunts and uncles, special nieces and nephews, relatives, special cousins, childhood friends, and best friend Keven D. Jackson.
