Dorothy Louise Thomas

Dorothy Thomas, age 90, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Drive through visitation will be Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 1 PM at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Our Heavenly Father smiled on the late Rev. Andrew L. White and Pearl Lee Williams-White by blessing them with a special gift on November 17, 1930.  That special gift was Dorothy Louise White.  For 90 years, she thrived on strong faith in God, determination and love for her family until the end.  God smiled again on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 to welcome His servant home. 

The Lord stepped out into His flower garden, picked a flower from the garden, and took her with Him where joy, happiness, and peace will be hers forever - no more pain or worries.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: J.V. White and A.D. White; sisters: Mary Lemons, Lottie White, Nettie Jones, Lois Witt, Mae Helen Thomas, Ollie Beachman, Bobbie Lee Carroll, and Geraldine Long.

Dorothy Thomas leaves to cherish her loving memories, a loving and devoted son: James Andrew (Sandra) Thomas of Greenwood, Florida; one sister: Jewel Weatherington; grandchildren: Phillip Andrew (Jasper) Thomas, Aaron Michael Thomas, and Trinity Alexi Baker; great grandchildren: Orion Thomas, Polaris Thomas, Neveah Marie Thomas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
