Donald Craddock was born on August 17, 1951 to the late OJ Craddock and the late Jannie Cochran. He was raised in Abbeville, Alabama by his loving mom Willa Dean Craddock, along with his twin brother: Ronald Craddock and sister: Jesse Rean Williams. He received his formal education from the Henry County Training School. He, later, relocated to Newark, New Jersey, where he began his career as a commercial truck driver and started his family.
Donald's personality, sense of humor, and laughter filled any room that he entered. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. He had a heart of gold, and was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. Donald loved the Lord, and always had an uplifting and encouraging word to give to others. He gave his life to Christ, early in life, and was member of Christ Temple Original Freewill Baptist Church in Abbeville, Alabama, where the late Elder Willie C. Tolbert resided.
Donald was called home to be with the Lord on the morning of November 13, 2020 at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama.
He leaves behind a devoted wife, of 35 years: Melissa Danzey Craddock; five loving children: Michaleen (Kevin) Jackson-McMillon of Irvington, New Jersey, Donald Craddock, Jr. of Abbeville, Alabama, Iris Craddock of Dothan, Alabama, Kaleena Craddock of Huntsville, Alabama and Samiyah Craddock of Troy, Alabama; six grandchildren, that were his pride and joy: Rashard, Marquise, Jada, Nhariya, Skiylar, and Nysiar. Donald also had two God-daughters: Rochanda and Jalessa, that he loved as his own. He will also be missed by a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
