Dolphis Powell

Mr. Dolphis Powell of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the age of 58.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Dolphis Powell was born December 11, 1963, to the late John Thomas Powell, Sr. and the late Valonia Powell, in Columbia, Alabama.  

Dolphis loved family, friends, work and music.  He was a jack-of-all-trade and could complete any task that he put his hands to.

Dolphis married Karen Coleman and shared this love between their four children: Brittany Paige Coleman, Sidney Vance Coleman, Amanda Renee Powell, and Mallory Patrice Powell.

Dolphis was a welder by trade most of his adult life, working for various companies.  Prior to his demise, he became a handyman, helping various people in the community.

He departed this life on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Dolphis Powell was preceded in death by his parents: John Thomas Powell, Sr. and Valonia Powell; stepmother: Donnie Powell; and sister: Jannette Ardis.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his former wife: Karen Powell; children: Brittany Paige Coleman, Sidney Vance Coleman, Amanda Renee Powell, and Mallory Patrice Powell; brothers: John Thomas (Sheila) Powell, Earnest (Monica) Powell both of Dothan, Alabama, and Edward Powell of Mt. Meig, Alabama; three sisters: Annie Bell (Eddie) West, Eddie Lee Powell of Columbia, Alabama, and Valona (Tracy) Womack of Albany, Georgia; one uncle: Amos Powell of Columbus, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
