Demetrius Ni'cora Dunlap, a woman known for her love, loyalty, strength, and compassion, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on July 14, 2024, in her hometown of Dothan, Alabama.

She was born on June 11, 1975, and her warm presence impacted the lives of those around her during her 49 years.

Demetrius was known for her generosity, passion, and gentleness, and she touched many lives with her warmth and kindness. She was the cherished granddaughter of the late Annie Lee and great-granddaughter of the late Katie Moore. Demetrius was also a great aunt to the late Christian Doyle.

Her life was a testament to the enduring love and kindness she shared with her family and friends. Throughout her life, Demetrius formed deep connections, especially with her family, who found in her a devoted companion—daughter, sister, aunt, and friend—whose love never faltered. Her life was further enriched by her special companion, Kirk Williams, who will forever hold dear the memories of love and laughter they shared.

Demetrius leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her mother, Diana Doyle; two fathers, Charlie Dunlap and Jeffery Doyle; her grandmother, Virginia Edmond; her sisters, Ranada Doyle, Nova White, and Jasmine Spencer; her brothers, Adrian (Kywanna Baker) Doyle, Korey (Tatum) Jackson, and Bobby (Wanda) Foster; special brother in Christ, Jason Cheshire; special cousin, Calvin Moore; and special aunt, Deborah Carter. She also leaves behind two special great-nephews, Ryker Jai and Ayden Tharp, who brought a new spark of joy and happiness to her life. Demetrius's legacy extends to a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, each of whom benefited from her generous spirit and gentle soul.

Her unique ability to make everyone she met feel special and valued created an extended family bound by more than just blood. Her absence will be deeply felt by the many hearts she touched. A passionate individual in every aspect of her life, Demetrius's enthusiasm was infectious. Whether she was sharing a story, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, she did so with a full heart and a gentle smile that could light up any room.
