David Lee ("Pimp") Jackson

Mr. David Jackson, age 66, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 11 AM at Georgette L. Scott's Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Mr. David Lee Jackson was born on July 7, 1953 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Mozel Daniels, Jr. and Annie Jewel Jackson.

David left Dothan, as a preteen, and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico with his grandparents: Wayman Jackson and Lucy Mae Jackson.  Mr. Jackson was a proud graduate of the Albuquerque High Bulldogs before returning to to Dothan, Alabama; settling with Janice Griffin to bore four beautiful children: Kendrick Griffin, Maurice Griffin, Candace Griffin and Christopher Griffin.  

David Lee was employed and well known at Cooking Good and Geisler Construction.

He was preceded in death by his father: Mozel Daniels, Jr.; grandparents: Wayman and Lucy Mae Jackson; uncle: Pete Jackson and brother: Ezell Pugh.

He departed this life on February 13, 2020.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, four children: Kendrick (Kavonda) Griffin, Maurice Griffin, Candace Griffin and Christopher Griffin; seven grandchildren: Amari "Rudy" Griffin, Tytianna Smith, Jalen Griffin, Christopher Griffin, Jr. "CJ", Aaliyah Johnson, Chance Griffin and Ashton Griffin; mother: Annie Pugh; Aunt: Joann Jackson; uncle: Louis Peterson; brothers: Cicero "Larry: Pugh and Waymon Pugh; sisters: Linda Peterson, Annie Jean Pugh, Barbara Pugh, Gloria Pugh and Loria Pugh; a special nephew like a son: Titus Griffin; loving sisters-in-law and brother-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
