Daffany Floyd was born on August 7, 1982, to the late Samuel Floyd and Annie Pearl Butts in Dothan, Alabama. Daffany Floyd was educated at Northview High School in Dothan, AL. At the age of seven, Daffany Floyd accepted Christ at Bethesda Apostolic Faith Temple and later became a member of Seven Stars Holiness Church in Dothan, AL under the leadership of Elder Kenneth Russell. She was also a member of Secret Place of Worship Ministries in Dothan, AL under Pastor John Faulk.
During her lifetime she worked as a manager at Arby’s restaurant and at the Mercedes Benz plant. She loved to shop, sing, and bake delicious pound cakes. She was a talented make-up artist. She had the gift of bringing families together. Being a mother was her greatest joy. Her love for her children caused her to relocate to Birmingham, AL when her son Kenderick became ill.
She was called home to be with her Savior on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 3:11. She was 42 years old.
She was preceded in death by her parents Samuel Floyd, Annie Pearl Butts, and Leamon Peterman. She was also preceded by her grandparents Jimmy and Beulah Butts, Spence and Ola Mae Turner Peterman, three brothers Jerome Russell, Chris Floyd, and Jeffrey Peterman.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two sons, Kendrick Floyd, Kevon Floyd and one daughter, Saniyah Floyd, her stepmother Elouise Peterman, her five brothers Charles Russell, Sylvester Russell, Kenneth Russell (Annette Russell), Sammy Floyd, Randy Peterman, and three sisters Helen Leonard (Tyronne S. Leonard Sr.), Tiffany Floyd, and Lisa Turner- Lewis (Timond Lewis), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
