Curtis Wymes Life and Times

Curtis Jerome (CJ)  Wymes, beloved father, son, brother and cherished friend, passed away on August 28, 2024, at the age of 36. Born on November 27, 1988, to the belated Curtis Lee Wymes and Sabrina Wymes. CJ was the third born to the couple and leaves his siblings; Catrina Wymes, Katronia Russaw and Cedrick Wymes behind. Curtis brought immense joy and warmth to everyone lucky enough to know him. His departure leaves a profound void, and he will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

Curtis’s life was a testament to his enduring spirit and boundless love. He was a devoted father to his two beautiful sons; Curtis (Jay) Wymes and Julius (Juju)  Wymes and stepdaughter Taliah, who were the light of his life. CJ also had a deep devotion to his nephews and nieces; Taeshawn Rogers, Taeveon Rogers, Cedrick (Isaiah) Wymes, Kaylan Russaw, Jaylan Shorter, and Kaydence Shorter. He was one of their biggest fans and thought the world of their future and their present successes and milestones. His unwavering dedication and boundless love for all of the kids of the family was evident in every aspect of his life, from the everyday moments to the cherished special occasions.

Friends and family remember Curtis for being the life of the party with his, infectious Wymes' smile, charisma and an unyielding optimism that could brighten even the darkest of days. He was a man of many talents, each one more impressive than the last, and he shared them freely and joyfully with those around him.

Curtis’s journey, though shorter than anyone could have hoped, was filled with remarkable achievements and heartfelt connections. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, hard work, endurance, love and compassion—attributes that will continue to inspire and shape the lives of those he touched.

We honor Curtis’s memory by celebrating the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the many ways he made the world a better place. His spirit will live on through his children and the countless memories held dear by his family and friends.

Curtis Jerome Wymes’s life, though brief, was full of love and meaning. May his soul find peace and may his memory live eternally in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
