Charles Lee Smith “Jody” was born on May 27, 1971 to Willie Mae Smith and Charles Teague.
Charles grew up in Ashford, Alabama. Charles was a member of the pee wee football team, an he attended Ashford High School there he played in the band. Mr. Smith came to Christ at an early age and was baptized and admitted in fellowship at Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church in Ashford, Alabama after high school.
He went to Wallace College for 2 years and graduated with a degree in Cabinetry.
During his adult life he was a mason, Minister and a die hard Alabama Roll Tide and Pittsburg Steeler fan. He was awarded his plaque by the Ashford area ministerial association in 1990. Men’s Sunday school class 101 at union Baptist spiritual development class, member as “Jody” and he love to eat.
He was preceded in death by his father: Jimmy Smith and Charles Teague and his brother: Jimmy Leshaun Smith, Jr; his grandparents: Willie Lee and Mary Lee McCullough, Mr. Hosea and Floria Teague.
He leaves to cherish his daughter: Aldia Smith of Gordon, Alabama; his son: Ezekiel Charles Smith and Ezekiel mother: Carol Williams of Easton, Georgia; his grandchildren: Aalyiah and Shamir of Gordon, Alabama; his mother: Willie Mae (Ron) Smith; sisters: Theresa (Lyndon) Issac of Jacksonville, Florida, Theresa Collins of Ashford, Alabama, Glady Taylor of Dothan, Alabama, Khalida McIntyre of Dothan, Alabama, and Zyasia Wilson of Dothan, Alabama; brothers: Laquan Bolden of Dothan, Alabama, Muffie Gracce Teague of Tampa, Florida, Thaddius Dawsey of Huntsville, Alabama; special angel of mercy and cousin: Patricia Brown; special uncle: Eddie (Willie Mae) Collins of Cowarts, Alabama; god father: Ronnie L. Palmer of Allentown, PA; god mother: Elizabeth Ralls of Montgomery, Alabama; five uncles; five aunts; his church family Union Baptist Church Pastor Haley of Allentown, PA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
