Charles Register, Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his home. He was born in Dothan, Alabama, March 7, 1947 to the late Amos Register and Frankie Davis Register. Charles was a 1965 graduate of Carver High School. He joined the United States Army in 1966. Charles served his country in the Vietnam War from 1966 until 1971. During his service, Charles received the 3 Bronze Service Stars to Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Expert Riffle.
Charles leaves a host of family and friends to cherish his memories to include his mother Frankie Davis Register; his children: Charles Amos (Rhonda) Register II, Sharon Register, Reneika Olgesby, and Jambria Register, all of Dothan, AL, and Grace Sherman (Brian) White of Montgomery, AL; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; his siblings: Barbara Register; the late James Edward Register, Brenda Register Jones and Deborah Register Tuner; aunts and uncles: Catherine (Louie Frank) Dawkins, Charles Ray (Rosie Lee) Davis and the late Harold Davis; nieces and nephews: Roslyn Jones (Kenneth) Garrett, Sean Patrick Curry, Jaamal (Shemika) Jones, Dana Register, Angela (Kevin) Bryant, Christoper (Danielle) Register, and Brittney Turner.
Special friends to include: Carolyn Baily-Faine and Francina Baily Morales, and a special, loving, and devoted friend: Gladys Williams, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
