Carla Denise Hilsman

Ms. Carla Denise Hilsman formal of Dothan, AL resident of Atlanta, GA departed this life on December 27, 2021; service in her memory celebrating the life on Friday, January 7, 2022 6 PM at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, AL; under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".

Carla Denise Hilsman was born on March 27, 1957 to the late Jesse W. Hilsman and Lucy Benton Hilsman LaGree.

Carla attended Dothan City Schools until the ninth grade when her family moved to Ft. Dix, New Jersey. She attended Pemberton Township High School in 1975. She later moved to Manhattan, New York, where she resided for forty years. She earned a degree in New York. She worked in the legal department at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She was a world class traveler and brought the world to us. 
 

She was preceded in death by her brother: Dwight Hilsman; sister: Sylbrevia H. Duckett; a cousin: LaRetha Maxwell; her favorite auntie: Billie Mae Ingram. 

Carla Denise Hilsman of Atlanta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 27, 2021.

She leaves to cherished her precious memories, her life partner: Victor Trimmer; her only loving sister: Michelle Hilsman; her brothers: Oshawn (London) LaGree, Jesse (Deborah) Hilsman of Seattle, WA, and Alfred (Janice) Hilsman of Orlando, Florida; several nieces and nephews: Kristen Lagree, Sabrina Vickers, Sylbria Vickers, Tenisa and Katina Hilsman, Chris Webster, Sidra Coleman, Alex Hilsman, Jesse, Jamal, Shanice Hilsman and Jazz Hilsman; special niece: Dominique Maxwell of Phoenix, AZ; her best friend/sister: Janice Hilsman; two special friends: Letetia Jackson and Teresa Davis; a special and dear cousin/sister: Sara Hill; her first cousin: Billy and Benton Ingram both of Ft. Worth, Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends.
