Brandon Layfette Jones

Brandon Layfette Jones, 35 of Dothan, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Brandon was born to Donna Jones and Paul Russaw. Brandon graduated Dothan High in 2009 where he was very active in sports. Before High School, Brandon played for the City League in Dothan, Alabama. After High School, Brandon attended Faulkner University, Montgomery, Alabama with a four year football scholarship.

Brandon devoted his life to his mother, sisters and children.  Brandon found joy in traveling, music, sports and most importantly family. He loved fashion and was adventurous.  Brandon was loyal and dearly loved his family.

Brandon was preceded in death by his grandmother Nora Jones, grandfather: Charles Nix; Uncles: Andy, Dodd Jones, Junior Russaw and cousin: Gregory Jones

Brandon is survived by his mother Donna Jones, Dothan, AL; father Paul (Frederica) Russaw, Atlanta, GA; grandparents Ruby Russaw and Ahman Abdullah Abdullah. His six children Marriah Jones, Bran’Daya Jones, Carson Jones, Brayden Jones, Bryleigh Jones, Kordia Jones, He is also survived by his siblings, Madonna Jones, Amber Jones, Malik Hunt, Raheem Russaw, Rashidah Russaw, Jada Henerson, Dovenishe Taylor, Adrian Jones, Jermey Jones and Danaschia Russaw. A special hosts of aunties, uncles, family and friends that played a major part in his life..

Along with nieces and nephews he loved dearly. Jovanna Jones, Gianna Jones, Titan Jamison, Nakiylah Wilson, Nariah Jade Hunt, Khalil Malik Hunt, Adrianna Koonce, Jermey Jones, Johnathon Jones. special cousins– Skylar Jones, Dominque Russaw, Maurice Satcher, Anasha Brewton, Cherille Satcher, Kamaal Russaw, Quanesha Nix, and Sepora Satcher. Special loved one and his rock Tivia Harris. Special friends: Matesha Potter, Anthony Haywood, Brandon Cheatam, Quinton Braswell, Quinton Prostho, Joshua Hawkins, Deshawn Edwards, Brandon McKenzie, Chad Collins, JT Barker, Tracy Richmond, Brenda Masser, Chris Lampkin, Tye Salter, Corey Holston, Jamie Townes, Trenton Mitchell, Kenneth Reese Jr. Mark Hill, and Lawrence Keener.
