Bishop David Glenn Morris, age 58, of Midland City, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Home going celebration will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021, 3:00 PM, at the Georgette L. Scott Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Ave, Dothan, AL, under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".
Bishop David Glenn Morris was born to Bertha Morris Bryant and David Wilson on April 26, 1963.
Bishop Morris accepted Christ at an early age and was called into the ministry and ordained a bishop on April 9, 2008 at Now Faith Deliverance Center by Pastor Bertland Banks.
He was a loving and kind man who didn’t meet a stranger anywhere he went and offered counselling and gave advice to a lot of people he encountered. He was an Army vet who served time in South Korea and after leaving the military he became a truck driver for thirty years, the retired.
Bishop Morris was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: James Morris and Thetis Wilson; one sister: Alicia Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife: Gloria Nix-Morris; one son: David (Carley) Morris of Atlanta, Georgia; step sons: Antonio McBride and Elijah Truitt; step daughter: Tiffany Huff all of Dothan, Alabama; seven grandchildren; three brothers: Carlos Morris of Washington, DC, David Wilson and Patrick Wilson; his sisters: Carlis Morris of Mobile, Alabama, Katherine (Michael) Lane of Mobile, Alabama, Jennifer (Andre) Jackson of Atlanta, Georgia, Sonja (Donnie) of Houston, Texas, Deborah Wilson, Lajauna Wilson and Cassandra Wilson; and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
