Billy Ray Davis, born on September 18, 1948, in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, in Dothan, Alabama. He was the beloved son of the late Aline Hawkins Davis and Jefferson Davis.
Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army for 22 years, where he exemplified honor, commitment, and service. After retiring from the military, he continued his dedication to helping others through his work as Environmental Services Supervisor at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
Moving to Alabama in 2008, he continued preaching and serving the Lord and his community with unwavering faith. His life’s mission to deepen his education in biblical studies. Billy attended Bethany Bible Seminary where he earned his Bachelor degree in Theology and Master’s degrees in Theology & Biblical Studies.
He precedes in death by his parents and nine of his siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Davis, whom they built a life grounded in love, faith, and family. He is also survived by his children: Anthony Davis, Aline Davis-Mays, and Andrea Davis-Kimbrough, Anjanelle Davis-McGowan; his cherished sisters, Jessie Lee Stafford and Johnetta Okee; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever treasure his memory.
Billy Ray Davis lived a life of service to his country, his community, and above all, to his Lord and Savior. His legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
