Betty Louise Clark was born March 3, 1942, in Dothan, Alabama, to the late Nelson and Annie Clark. She was the tenth of twelve children.
She attended and graduated from North Highland Elementary, Carver High School, in Dothan, Alabama., and George C. Wallace Technical School. She retired from GTE once they disbanded after 25 years. She, then, served 25 years in Communications at Southeast Medical Center, where she retired due to her health.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Senior Choir, Deacon Hayes' Sunday School Class, Vice President of the Missionary Society, Progressive Matrons, Youth Department Volunteer and St. Mary District Convention Women's Department.
She enjoyed volunteering and working with the Arthritis Foundation, Southeast Health Foundation, Zeta Amicae, The Carver Grand Reunion, and several other charities.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Jeanette Peacock, Anna Clark, Mary L. Clark, Annie Carthen, Henry Clark, Nelson Clark, Jr. and Harold L. Clark; grandnephew: Justin Peacock.
Ms. Clark passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sisters: Rachel Wood, Alice Clark Vincent, and Frances Curry all of Dothan, Alabama; one brother: Kirk (Reva) Clark; and a special sister: Susan Scarborough.
