On March 10, 1933, Bernice Mitchell graced the world, born to Sarah and Carey Anderson, surrounded by her adoring sisters Robbie Mae Brown, Martha McCleod, and Cledie White.
Her happy childhood laid the foundation for a life filled with wonderful moments. Whether it was the warmth of her Christmas dinners or the excitement of the spades games. Bernice was the heart of our family gatherings. A beacon of unity. Her phone was always available, offering wisdom amidst life's storms.
Bernice's love knew no bounds; she journeyed far and wide to visit loved ones, expressing her love through the cooking of her delicious food. Her faith in Christ was unwavering, guiding her until she reunited with the Lord on July 10, 2024.
As a devoted member of Saint Mary Baptist Church, Bernice enjoyed teaching Sunday school and reviewing the lesson.
Bernice leaves behind a legacy through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. As we say goodbye, we hold onto cherished memories, leaving us with tears of both sorrow for our loss and gratitude for having known such a remarkable soul.
