Barbara Jean Harris was born on August 4, 1942 to the late Oscar Harris and Annie L. Stenson of Union Springs, AL. Barbara confessed Christ at an early age at t. Paul United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death one son, Tyrome Harris and her husband John L. Harris.
Barbara was very friendly, outgoing and always willing to help anyone in anyway that she could. She was a hardworking and determined woman, dedicated to providing for her family. Barbara worked several places in Union Springs to include: Avondale Mills, Union Springs Hospital and several Diners.
Barbara was called home on December 20, 2025 in Phenix City, AL.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory one sister, Annie S. Harris; four children James Ingram, Montgomery, AL, Marilyn Ingram, Crosby, TX, Delores (USA SGT RET Kenneth) Simmons, Phenix City, AL, John E. Harris Sr., MGYSGY. US Marines, Retired). 47 Grandchildren, including two she raised as her own, Marquise and Cedric Ingram, 18 Great-Grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces including Bernadette Williams, nephews including Cleveland Williams, cousins and friends.
Special friends Creola White, Betty Brooks, Sandra Johnson, Shirley Heard, Byron Heard and Clara Tarver.
