Ms. Annie Willy Miller, age 94, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 4-6 PM at the funeral home.
Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery; 590 Saint Luke Road Fort Gaines, Georgia, under the direction of the caring staff of Scott's Chapel Hill Mortuary "Because We Care".
Annie Willie Miller was born on December 13, 1928, in Bluffton, Georgia, to the late Bailey Mathis and Beatrice Mathis.
She confessed Christ at an early age and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Ft. Gaines, Georgia, where she served faithfully until her passing. She received her education in the Bluffton County School System.
In 1965, Annie Miller met Ed Miller in, in Bluffton, Georgia, and to this union, no children were born but her son was raised as their own. She worked as a housekeeper for 40 years. Her hobbies included having a loving relationship with her son, watching westerns, conversing with others, cooking and traveling in her younger years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Annie Laura Irving of Blakely, Georgia; brother: Ben Brown of Fort Gaines, Georgia; and aunt: Edna Spann of Edison, Georgia.
Annie leaves to cherish her memories, one son: Anthony Figgins of Dothan, Alabama; grandchildren: Brie Figgins and Breanna Figgins both of Tokyo, Japan; also survived by Minnie Brown of Syracuse, New York and Rose Glover of Ft. Gaines, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
