Angela Speed Life and Times

Mrs. Angela Hollis-Speed passed away Friday, June 5, 2020.

Drive Through Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

A Private Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 1 PM at Mt. Sinai Church Cemetery in Newville, Alabama.

Angela began her life on July 5, 1955 in Newville, Alabama.  She was the eldest of six children born to the late Dec. Lawrence E. Hollis and Bobbie Nell Hollis, who remains.  While here, Angela showed, in her daily walk, her love for God, a heart for His people, and being always willing to help anyone.  Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother.  She met no strangers; being the family's "social butterfly"

Sis. Speed joined Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church family and accepted Christ at an early age.  She was an active and faithful member until moving to Cocoa, Florida in 1989.  At the time of her transition, she was a member of Mt. Calvary Independednt Baptist Church family in Cocoa with Rev. Hubert Washington, Pastor; where she was  an active and faithful member serving on the Ushers Ministry and as a Mother of the Church.

On Friday, June 5, 2020, Sis. Angela Elaine Hollis Speed transitioned from this earthly life into everlasting life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother: Donald E. Hollis and a sister-in-law: Lessie Hollis.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband: Adrian Speed of 15 years; mother: Bobbie Nell Hollis; two children: Roderick Moore of Tampa, Florida and Rhonda Moore of Cocoa, Florida; three grandchildren: RaQuan Moore, Te'Aira Barnes and Ran'Niequa Barnes; four siblings: Lesia Hollis of Dothan, Alabama, Terry Hollis of Newville, Alabama, Shavora Graham of Dothan, Alabama, and Amanda (Ed) Sampson of Mobile, Alabama; father and mother-in-law: Bruce and Arrie Carthon; Brother-in-law: Daryl Speed; sisters-in-law: Harriet, Carlotta and Toni Speed; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
