Willie Truett

Mr. Willie MacArthur Truett Sr. was born February 11, 1945 to the late James Truett Sr. and Maudie Lee Frazier-Truett in pike County AL.  He was the seventh child of eight children in whom six preceded him in death:  Charles Truett, Cleona Rogers, Callie Mae McGriff, James Truett Jr. Ruby White, Benjamin Truett and one grandson Keith Bartlett Jr.
 

He accepted Christ at an early age. 

Will attended school in Pike County, AL before moving to Newark, New Jersey where he spent his adult life. He was employed with Beachem Manufacturing Company and GSK Pharmaceutics for over 25 years before retiring and moving to Dothan, AL. Upon moving back to the wiregrass area he started his Lawn care business known as WILLIE”S LAWN CARE.

Will had many customers in which most of them became his friend.

Will attended Harvest Church in Dothan.  He loved his Church and would often talk about how much he enjoyed his Pastor and church family.

Will enjoyed going to the gym and walking in the park with his friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family; any event involving his family is what he always loved. You would always recognize him with that charming and infectious smile that would come with saying something Humorous such as “just being around me will make you smarter” he had a beautiful sense of humor.

On October 28, 2018 at 3:00 am at Southeast Health God called him to rest from his labor of 73 years here on this earth. 
  Jesus said “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.” John 10:27-29.

Take your rest Daddy, Grand daddy, Uncle Will, Cousin, my friend you will be greatly missed.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories three daughters: Grace Porter Newark , New Jersey, Andrea Williams ( Louey II) Rock Hill, SC and Shondra Williams (Michael) Laurel, DEL. two sons: Keith Bartlett Sr., Raleigh, NC and Willie Truett Jr. 
Grandchildren: Sadiyyah Crawford, Amir Crawford, Louey Williams III, Anthony Williams, Aaliyah Williams, Zashaun Williams, Triston Williams, Nazjiya Bartlett, Chad Barlett, Makel’eh Williams and Michael Jonathan Williams.  One brother Tellis Truett. 
Special Nieces: Elizbeth (Liz) Smith & Carolyn Jackson                                                  Teresa White, Leigh Rivers, Mildred Truett and Mary Ann Glaze.
Nephews: Charles McGriff Sr., Curtis McGriff, Waymon McGriff Jr., Charles Truett Jr, Benny Truett Jr. Kenny Truett, Dewayne Rogers, Jimmy Roy White, Paul White and Wayne White.
