Tommie Lee Murry

      Mr. Tommie Lee Murry the last child of Annie and John Murry was born February 21, 1929 in Shorterville, Alabama. He attended the Cash Grace School in Shorterville, Alabama.

       He later met and married Mary Corbitt on July 20, 1946 to this union 9 children were born. Two sons preceded him in death, Willie Lee and Tom Alex.

     He was a member of the New Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church were he served as a deacon and Sunday School Superintendant until health failed and he could no longer serve. He was also a member of the Magolia Lodge #218.

      He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of seventy-two years: Mary C. Murry; four daughters: Ann, Mary R., Chris (AL) and Bernice; three sons: Arthur (Florence) Henry and Robert; one daughter-in-law: Rebecca; two sister-in-law: Willie R. Corbitt of Dothan, Alabama and Lillie B. Kinsey of Abbeville, Alabama; one brother-in-law: Robert Corbitt (Ethel) of Abbeville, Alabama; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
