Rushie Morris Life and Times
On December 28, 1933 a beautiful baby girl was born to John Wesley Mills and Rebecca Reeve Mills and they named her Rushie Bell Mills.
Rushie accepted Christ at an early age. She met and married RC Morris and from that union ten children was born. She later moved to Dothan and was employed with many companies but later became an entrepreneur in the city.
She was known to many as Mama or Ms. Morris.
She was preceded in death by her parents: John Wesley and Rebecca Mills; her husband: RC Morris; daughter: Jacquelyn; sister: Rosa; and grandson: Christopher.
She leaves to cherish her life and legacy her children: Charles, Geraldine, Mantoris, Barbara (William) Washington, Margaret (Clyde), Henry, Cynthia Stanley, Leon Morris, Samantha Walls, and Roger (Josephine) Morris; two brothers: Henry Mills of Detroit, MI and MC Mills of Tampa, FL; twenty-seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
