Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10 AM at Acts Church Christian Center in Dothan, Alabama.

Reynold Lee (R.L.) Faulk was born on September 5, 1933 in Geneva County, Alabama to the late Dink ad Cordiell Mariney Faulk.  He was preceded in death by his lovely wife: Elizabeth Janice Hudspeth Faulk, daughters: Linda Faulk and Willie Ethel Faulk, and son: Andrew Faulk.  He is also preceded in death by his sisters: Gladys Faulk Vickers, Carolyn Faulk, Addie Beatrice Faulk Sconiers, Elizabeth M. (Red) Faulk Flowers and Lenna Mae Faulk; and brother: Willie C. Faulk.

R.L., also affectionately known as “Fever”, was educated in the Geneva County school system and worked at Slingluff Construction for a number of years.  He maintained several other jobs to provide for his family until he retired in 1995.

Early in life, he married the late Willie Mae White and to this union, two children were born, the late Andrew and Willie Ethel Faulk.  He also fathered two sons: Johnny Faulk and Calvin Smith.

In the Mid 1950s, he married Elizabeth Janice Hudspeth and to this union five children were born, Mary Elizabeth, Linda, Pamela Deloise, Frederick Bernard and Kenya Lashawn.

Fever was full of energy, fun conversation and was often the life of the party.  He was well-known for taking pictures in and around the Dothan area creating smiles no mater where he went.

His passion for motorcycles was contagious and even transferred to his children and grandchildren.  He loved fishing, hunting, and telling stories about his colorful past to all that loved him and would listen.  He loved sports and was one of the most loyal Los Angeles Lakers basketball fans.  He would have intense conversations and debates with anyone during the games, no matter what time of the day or night it was.  But at the end of the day, he was a proud and daunting grandfather and great-grandfather walking the football stadiums, baseball fields and basketball courts talking about Jig, Bookie “Ra-darius” as they played these sports.

After months of defying medical odds; on Monday, December 2nd, God called him home to take his rest and be with Him eternally.

He leaves to cherish his legacy and memory to his children: Mary (John) King, Pamela Tharpe both of Dothan, Alabama, Bernard (Devon) Faulk of Marietta, Georgia, Kenya (Adrian) Lawrence of Lithonia, Georgia, Johnny Faulk of Lynn Haven, Connecticut and Calvin Smith of Mobile, Alabama; six grandsons, five granddaughters and eleven great-grandchildren.  His twin brothers: Florzell and Carzell Faulk and sister: Lora Jean Faulk Speights.  He had two special friends: Betty Griggs and Olivia Lee, godson: Kalimah Thompson and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.
