Reflection of Life
Rachel Lee Fields was born on December 7, 1925 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Jim Ward and Evelyn Tullis. Jim Ward and Evelyn Tullis raise twelve children.
Growing up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as a child where she lived out her faith through her giving spirit to her adoring family and the community.
Rachel was educated in the Henry County School Systems in Henry County, Alabama. Rachel was a devoted member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama and became a Pastor in 1981. She married the love of her life, Carl Fields and to this union they were blessed with twelve children.
Rachel was a God fearing woman and loved the Lord and each and every one of her family members. She enjoyed going to church, cooking and singing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carl Fields; two children: Teresa and Kenneth; and six siblings.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her ten children: Catherine of Brockton, MA, C.T. (Faye), Elijah (Cathy), Carl (Mamie), Robert, Bobby, Earl (Betty), Ruby (Carl) all of Dothan, Alabama, Evelyn (Greg) of Newville, Alabama and Mary of Pensacola, Florida; sixty-nine grandchildren, one hundred seventy-four great grands and forty-nine great-great grands; one sibling: Ruby D. Grimsley of Jacksonville, Florida; one special friend: Sister Nove of Headland, Alabama and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
