Mary Willie Ward

Ms. Mary Ward, age 83, of Hartford, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 11 AM at Antioch Baptist Church in Hartford, Alabama, 271 CO Rd 47 Hartford, Alabama 36344.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will immediately follow the service at the Macedonia Cemetery.

Miss Mary Willie Ward was born to the late Mr. Willie and Beatrice Ward on April 25, 1936, the fourth of fifteen kids.  She lived in the Geneva County area all her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Willie Boy and Beatrice Ward; three sisters: Ethel Ward, Mary Ward and Dorothy Pouncey; five brothers: Jack Ward, Billy Ward, James Ward, Jacob Ward and Tony Ward.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: two daughters: Virginia (Joseph) Peterson and Vickie Ward of Dothan, Alabama; two sons: Tyriquo (Rico) Reese, son/grandson Louis (Fredia) Ward of Hartford, Alabama; 13 grandchildren: Joseph Peterson of Atlanta, Georgia, Matt Peterson of Dothan, Alabama, Eric, TaCarra, Felicia, LaKeisha, Cholea, Brianna, Syreeta, Vashon and Shenna and 21 greatgrands; four sisters: Norma Lawson of Augusta, Georgia, Myra Tolbert of Fort Myers, Florida, Patricia Ward of Orlando, Florida and Faye (Floyd) Dawkins of Slocomb, Alabama; two brothers: Jessie Ward of Hartford, Alabama and Earnest (Judy) Ward of Fort Myers, Florida and also left to cherish her memories is a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
