Macie Ree Salter

Ms. Macie Salter, age 58, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Monday, December 2, 2019.

Visitation will be Friday, December 6, 2019 from 3 PM to 5 Pm at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12:30 at Acts Church Christian Center in Dothan, Alabama.

Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Elder Macie Ree Butler Salter was born on August 16, 1961 to the late James and Trimma Lee Butler of Dothan, Alabama.  She graduated from Dothan High School in 1980.  She was a devout Christian and joined Acts Church Chritstian Center over 20 years ago.  She was a licensed and ordain minister; however, throughout her committment to the church, she served many roles.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sports (especially Alabama football - ROLL TIDE!!), cooking, baking, but more importantly giving God praise and spreading his word.

She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Jalen Salter; brother: Tommy Lee Butler and sister: Sandra Butler.

She leaves to cherish her memories her beautiful daughter: Britney Butler; grandchildren: Ethan Burkett, Elijah Butler, Macey Greye Salter and Blair Elizabeth Kelly Salter; former spouse: Andrew Salter, Jr. of Headland, Alabama; sisters: Joyce Ann Dawsey, Jessie (Sam) Williams of Dothan, Alabama and Sharon (Maurice) Harris of Cowarts, Alabama; brothers: Larry Butler, Charles Butler, Joseph (Jackie) Butler of Dothan, Alabama and James Butler of Saginaw, Michigan; close friends: Karon (Robert) Jones and Elder Sara (Willie) Haywood, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, the Salter family, her Acts Church Family, her Extendicare co-workers and friends who loved her so much.
