When meeting her, you could soon notice her sense of humor and love for family. Some of her friends once called her “Loving Lois”.

As a young adult she was married to Mr. George Culver and two sons were born.

She was a member of the Ladies Aide Missionary Society #21, Headland, serving as Past President. She was also a member of Woods Choice Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 356, Headland, for some fifty years.

Later in life, she was united in marriage to Mr. James Pope. She was predeceased by Mr. Pope, both of her parents; brothers: Carl and James McKay and a sister, Corene Odom.

She is survived by two devoted sons: Gregory Drayton Culver of Kinsey, Alabama and Patrick Dewitt Culver of Headland, Alabama; five grandchildren: Joshua Floyd (that she raised as her own), Jennifer Williams, Devon Culver, Sean Culver (Ana) and Habiba Cheeks; five great grandchildren: Chase, Tyler, Christian, Kristen and Ivy; five siblings: Ms. Annie Morris, Ms. Vonceail Graves (her 4 in 1), Ms. Wylene Thompson, Glovers McKay and Clifton McKay; additional family members include two sisters-in-law: Mrs. Annis Pope and Mrs. Dean McKay; eight nieces; six nephews; several cousins and friends.
