Lois Burthlong

Ms. Lois Burthlong, age 79, of Dothan, Alabama passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 2 PM at Georgette L. Scott's Memorial Chapel, 814 Headland Avenue Dothan, Alabama 36303.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery.

Mrs. Lois Mae Flowers Burthlong was born on February 8, 1940 to the late Emanuel Burthlong and Lena Davis in Louisiana.
 

Lois attended school at Lee Station and McDonald Forty High School in New Orleans. She was employed at Family Inn Hotel as a supervisor and Morris Cafeteria as a waitress. In 1962 she married the love of her life Linberg Emanuel Flowers.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Linberg Emanuel Flowers; two sisters and three brothers.
 

She leaves to cherish her precious memories a loving and devoted daughter: Denise Burthlong of Dothan, Alabama; three grandchildren: Aaron Hill, Darien Burthlong and Kodi Hill of Dothan, Alabama; three great grands: Kingston, Yaseen and Samirah; one sister: Barbara Burthlong; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
