On December 5, 1951 a true “hero” was born. Leon Ambrose Brackins was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgle (Serreather) Brackins. He was born in Newville, AL where he resided for many years. Knowing the importance of living a God driven life, Leon joined Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church at a young age where he was a devoted member until he departed his worldly life.

Upon graduating college, Leon joined the workforce in numerous capacities to include his most recent career as a Cable Technician at Spectrum Cable until his retirement in December 2018.
Leon met the love of his life, Sherry Brackins in 1970. They joined in holy matrimony on December 22, 1972. To this union, two children were born, Corey Andre Brackins and Dr. Lakesha Lynette Brackins.
