Juliet Boone Life and Times


A beautiful and caring life ended Sister Juliet Debose Boone when she was called from labor to rest on July 8, 2018 at her home in Union Springs, Alabama.
Sister Juliet was born September 29, 1945 to the late Mary Belle Debose and Richard Debose in Perote, Alabama. She was the seventh child of eight children. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Hillard Baptist Church in Perote, Alabama, where she served many auxiliaries under the leadership of the lat Pastor Marshel Angeles.
Juliet attended Perote High School, graduating in the mid 1960s.
After relocating in Los Angeles, Juliet was employed with at the VA Hospital in Long Beach, CA as a nurse’s aide. Juliet was later then employed with Kalkan as an Accountant Assistant. Juliet retired from Kalkan after 30 years of service. In 1971 Sister Juliet Debose married Raymond Boone and to this union a child was born RaeKisha Boone.
Sister Juliet Boone traveled abroad with her husband, Raymond, to Laos due to his employment as a US Customs Inspector, from 1972-1975. Sister Juliet loved the Lord and was member of the Mission Board at The Community Missionary Baptist Church in Compton, CA. She relocated back to her home in Union Springs, Alabama and moved her membership back to Mt. Hillard Baptist Church where Darryl Andrews is the pastor. Sister Boone was a faithful usher and the president of the Perote District Usher Association.
Preceding her death were her parents: Mary Belle DeBose and Richard DeBose; and her brother-in-law: Preston Thornton.
She leaves to cherish, her lovely daughter: Raekisha Boone; six sisters: Betty DeBose of Los Angeles, CA, Willie Mable DeBose of Perote, AL, Idell Anderson of Springfield, Ma, Annie Muriel DeBose of Los Angeles, CA, Tessie DeBose, Linden, NJ, Cora D. Thornton, Perote, AL; one brother: Melvin DeBose of Los Angeles, CA; and her sister-in-law: Joyce Hyman DeBose of Norwalk, CA. She also leaves behind her dear nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a whole host of close friends.
