Johnny C. Walker was born on July 10, 1947 to Johnny Will Walker and Willene Martin Walker in Henry County, Alabama.  He departed this life on January 18, 2020 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Johnny C. Walker was affectionately known as "Jockey", "Brother", "Uncle Brother", "Walker" and many other endearing names.  He was known for his outgoing personality.  Johnny accepted Christ in his life, at an early age, at the Freewill Baptist Church in Headland, Alabama.

He attended Henry County Public Schools and later attended trade school, where he became a master plumber and electrician.  Johnny had an adventurous spirit.  He rode motorcycles, in his youth, and liked using the bow and arrow.   Many, who encountered him, also knew of his altruism because he would use his electrical and plumbing skills to assist those in need; often charging very little or no money.  He was a servant leader and worked for over 47 years throughout the Wiregrass Community; installing some of the wiring that are in many of the Dothan City and Municipal buildings today.

Johnny also had a love for the game of chess and would spend many hours attempting to checkmate the opponent's king.  Some of his other hobbies include: fishing and enjoying time with his family.

Johnny was preceded in death by his son: Phillip Snell; siblings: Mrs. Bettye Thornton, Ms. Linnie Walker, Mrs. Alice Salter, Mrs. Mary Ann Walker and Willie Charles (Jimmy) Walker.

Johnny C. Walker's memories will be cherished by: a devoted companion: Vivian Sanders; children: Bridgette Poon and Brenda (Jerry) Moris both of Montgomery, Alabama, Bryson Walker and Bridgette McCarter both of Dothan, Alabama.  He also leaves two sisters: Mrs. Willie Mae Ward and Ms. Evelyn Walker of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers: Jessie Walker and Jack Walker both of Dothan, Alabama; 13 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and colleagues to cherish his memory.
