Jeanette Underwood

Ms. Jeanette Underwood, age 57 of Midland City, Alabama passed away on September 14, 2019.  Visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2019 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the funeral home.  Funeral service will be Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church in Clopton, Alabama.  Burial will immediately follow the service at Hopewell Church Cemetery.

Jeanette Underwood was born in Clopton, Alabama to Matthew and Betty Underwood on November 2, 1961.  Jeanette accepted Christ at an early age.  She graduated from George W. Long High School.  She was a phenomenal woman, a loving mother and all around a great person.  Even through her sickness, she still remained active in the church.

She was preceded in death by her father: Matthew Underwood; her mother: Betty Underwood and her sister: Kattie Newman.

Jeanette departed this life on September 14, 2019 in Dothan, Alabama at Flowers Hospital.

She leaves to cherish her son: Jaylon Dozier; one brother: Billy (Winnie) Underwood; three sisters: Ruby Jackson, Linda Jackson and Lucy Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunties, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Jeanette had a few special friends for many years: Dorothy Williams, Herbert Turner and Narasha Terry.  The family loves you and prays that you will always cherish your memories that you shared with her forever.
