Mrs. Jacquelyn Lampley, age 64, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020.
Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4 PM to 6 PM at Allens Funeral Home, 313 N Prairie Street, Union Springs, Alabama 36089.
Funeral service will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 12 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 400 Chunnenuggee Avenue Union Springs, Alabama 36089.
Burial will immediately follow the service at New Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Jacquelyn Denise Washington Lampley was born May 11, 1955 to the late Theodis Flemming and Ruby Washington Mabson.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Saint Paul United Methodist Church, where she received Christ.
Jacquelyn received her education at Bullock County High School in 1973. After graduating from high school, she attended Miles College and received her Bachelors Degree of Science in Sociology in 1977.
On July 4, 1977, she married the love of her life, Howard Lampley, and to this union, one child was born.
She was employed, at West Central Regional Hospital, as a housekeeper for several years. She became a teacher's aid at Muscogee County School District in Columbus, Georgia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Geraldine Martin and one brother: Stanfford Martin.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her husband: Howard Lampley; one daughter: Surethia Lampley of Columbus, Georgia; eight grandchildren: Demetra, Semetra, and Demetris Hilton, Jacquoia Coven, Malik and Amiya Martin, Shila and Kayden McGuilberry all of Columbus, Georgia; one God daughter: Shernice McGilbury of Virginia; one niece: Nikita Martin of Columbus, Georgia; three nephews: Nicholas Martin, Ralphale (Felicia Rogers) Martin and Donn Martin all of Union Springs, Alabama; a host of cousins and other relatives and special friends: Belinda Rutledge, Rose Austin, Amy Jones, Sandra Cooper, Sandra Pipkins and Melanie Johnson.
